The Texas ICYPAA Bid Committee is a group of Texans who are attempting to bring the International Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous to our state.
Our Plan
To work with other Texas YPAA organizations to prepare a bid that meets the ICYPAA requirements. This list of Bidding Requirements are given by in the ICYPAA website and must be addressed by all bidders. We will attempt to include as many YPAA organizations from as many Texas cities as possible.
To hold outreach events in order to encourage fellowship and raise funds to finance our bid attempt. We will be holding events in as many Texas cities as we can to increase participation and to raise money to cover bid preparation and related expenses.
To travel as a group to ICYPAA 51 in Atlanta, Georgia (Memorial Day weekend, 2009) and present our bid proposal to the Advisory Council. We hope to have a strong Texan presence at next year's Conference to support our bid and represent Texas young people in AA.

Our next State-wide Committee Meeting will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, May 2nd in Dallas at the Sheraton Dallas. Parking is $7. Please don't forget to bring your soft back big books for the big book drive! Also, be sure to make it out for our last supportive event/pre-conference gambling party at Central Congregational Church! Tim F. will be telling his story at 6:30 pm, and the gambling will begin at 7:30 pm. Admission is $5 or a donation of a big book. There will be food and drinks for sale.
